Daytona Beach, Florida (PRWEB) October 05, 2014
Skies over the Atlantic Ocean will get louder, faster and much more fascinating Oct. thirteen-14 with Embry-Riddles Wings & Waves Air Display.
The free celebration from 11 a.m. to four p.m. each and every working day is the only air present in the United States to host a few jet demonstration teams like the entire world-renowned U.S. Air Pressure Thunderbirds, returning favorites The Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the only civilian-owned staff in the U.S., the Black Diamond Jet Team.
But theres a lot more at the family members-helpful present as aerobatic performers, sky divers and historic military plane will soar oceanside in entrance of the Hilton Daytona Beach Vacation resort at Ocean Walk Village. The newest addition to the performer line-up includes The New Jersey Air National Guard with a fly-by in the KC-a hundred thirty five Stratotanker.
On the shore, Embry-Riddle will host the Schooling Zone in the Bandshell showcasing student robotic and environmental team demonstrations, athletics, Alumni Relations and the Jet Dragster.
The air present, which wraps up a week-extended celebration of Embry-Riddles Homecoming, attributes performers with ties to the university such as a previous professor, a former flight teacher and many alumni. They incorporate Embry-Riddle Prescott alum Main J.R. Williams (direct pilot No. five) of the Thunderbirds Daytona grad and previous flight instructor Doug Tut Demko of the Black Diamond Jet Group world-record holding skydiver Cheryl Stearns, GEICO Skytyper lead solo pilot Steve Salmirs and former Daytona Seaside campus professor Tim Plunkett. Embry-Riddle sponsored winner aerobatic performer Matt Chapman also joins the team.
I am usually thrilled when I return to my alma mater Embry-Riddle Aeronautical College, in the great metropolis of Daytona Beach! stated Steve Salmirs, a Daytona Beach front campus grad.
